Vermont Dressage Days

Nestled in the heart of the Green Mountains is a nationally recognized dressage competition, sanctioned by the U. S. Equestrian Federation, our national governing board. ˜Vermont Dressage Days˜ was the brainchild of two local women, whose passion for the sport along with their wish to bring excellent dressage competition back to the north country, inspired them to pool their resources, rev up community support and recreate a quality event, which they founded in 2004.

In the spirit of community and recognizing the privileges afforded by many involved in equestrian pursuits, the founders opted to benefit two laudable non-profits. Women Helping Battered Women and The VT Humane Federation are ˜champions˜ in their own right as unwavering advocates of women, children and domestic animals. The staffs and volunteers of these organizations are fully committed to their respective missions and VT Dressage Days is proud to offer them an “arena” for greater public awareness as well as a share of the profits.

VT Dressage Days attracts competitors throughout the Northeast, Quebec and Ontario. The competition lists an impressive array of judges from across the country, who are committed to upholding the standards of their profession and the ideals of the sport. VT Dressage Days offers a topnotch competition, a stellar management team and a committed group of volunteers, whose praises have been sung by judges, technical delegates and competitors alike for their courtesy, empathy, knowledge and efficiency. The Champlain Valley Exposition offers VT Dressage Days a blue-ribbon venue with an excellent assemblage of hard working, accountable employees, set in the shadows of the majestic Mt. Mansfield, home of the famed Stowe Ski Resort. For a quality dressage competition, with a hometown ambiance in a lovely setting, the VT Dressage Days organizers invite you to visit us this August in Essex, Vermont.
